This is a wonderful antique sterling silver Montreal souvenir spoon. The bowl of the spoon is made to resemble a lacrosse stick net and the handle features Canadian iconography - a beaver, maple leafs, a fleur-de-lys and the word Montreal. The handle is topped with the Queen Victoria crown. The back of the handle is stamped with M. Cochenthaler Sterling - Cochenthaler was a Montreal based silversmith and jeweller. The spoon measures 5 in length and weighs 18 grams. The spoon is in very good condition. This is not a common spoon - early Montreal souvenir spoon!
